FERGI is a post fire, erosion prediction utility. FERGI can help users determine the likelihood that erosion control barriers, such as contour felled logs, will be effective in preventing sediment delivery to streams, after a fire.

The FERGI model is run from this web site. First, you will be required to select three weather stations near the burned area, using a map interface. Next, you must provide information about soils and hill slopes for your area. The model will compute results and provide you with graphs and tables.
